These terms cover your use of this website and, unless we have signed a separate agreement with you, the services we provide. Using the site means you accept them.
The website
You may use this site for lawful purposes. Please do not attempt to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access to it, or scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people.
Everything on this site, including the writing, designs and code, belongs to Other Shapes unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote or share it with attribution; please ask before republishing it wholesale.

The ops grader, playbooks and newsletter are provided for general information. The grader produces an indicative score from the answers you give: it is a prompt for a conversation, not professional advice, and we make no promise about the outcomes described.
Services
Work is scoped in a written proposal or statement of work, which sets out deliverables, timings and fees. Where those documents conflict with these terms, those documents win.
Fees. Audits and one-off builds are quoted upfront. Monthly engagements are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled for the following month at any time. Fees exclude VAT where it applies.
Third-party costs. Some builds depend on external tools and APIs that carry their own usage fees. On monthly engagements we cover these. On one-off builds you are responsible for them, and we will estimate them before we start.
Ownership. On audits and one-off builds, the deliverables are yours once you have paid for them. On monthly engagements agents typically run on our infrastructure, and we will hand over what we have built on request.
Your material. You keep ownership of everything you give us. You confirm you have the right to share it, and you grant us permission to use it for the purpose of doing the work.
What we can and cannot promise
We will carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. AI systems are probabilistic and can make mistakes, so we build review steps into what we deliver, and you remain responsible for decisions your organisation takes on the output.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Confidentiality and data
We treat what you share with us as confidential and use it only to do the work. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
